Frequently Asked Questions
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural, relaxed state of focused attention—similar to daydreaming or being absorbed in a good book. You are always aware, always in control, and you decide how deeply you engage.
Can I get “stuck” in hypnosis?
No. Hypnosis is a safe and temporary state. You can come out of it anytime you wish, simply by opening your eyes or shifting your focus.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Everyone experiences it differently. Some feel very calm, some notice a light floating sensation, while others simply feel focused and present. The most common feedback I hear is: “I felt deeply relaxed, but fully aware.”
What is EFT Tapping?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), often called “tapping,” is a gentle mind-body approach that combines focused attention with tapping on specific acupressure points. This simple practice helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and release stuck emotions. Many people find tapping helpful for easing anxiety, improving focus, and shifting how the body holds on to old patterns.
How long are sessions?
Most sessions last about 60 minutes. The first session may be a little longer, as we’ll take extra time to talk about your goals and answer questions.
How many sessions will I need?
Every person is unique. Some notice shifts in just one or two sessions, while others choose ongoing support over several weeks or months. We’ll find the pace that feels right for you.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. If you’re outside of Los Angeles—or simply prefer the comfort of home—we can meet securely online. Online sessions follow the same process as in-person work.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is deeply respected, and everything shared in a session is kept strictly confidential.
What if I’m nervous or unsure if this will work for me?
That’s completely normal. Many clients feel that way at first. That’s why I offer a free wellness assessment call—so you can ask questions, meet me, and get a sense of the process before committing.
What kinds of challenges can this help with?
Clients often come to me for support with:
-
Stress and anxiety
-
Fears and phobias
-
Processing and releasing difficult experiences and/or trauma
-
Building resilience and confidence
-
Creating calm and focus in daily life
If you’re curious whether this approach fits your needs, I’d be happy to talk it through with you.
